Common questions.
Who is the community for?
The Human Signal Community is curated. Members are scholars, technologists, practitioners, and institutional leaders working the AI governance problem from serious vantage points. The room is small by design. If you are looking for vendor decks or compliance theater, this is not the room.
What is the difference between the three plans?
All three Catalog plans grant identical access to the room. The difference is cadence and price. Monthly is the highest per-month cost with full flexibility. Quarterly saves roughly 10%. Annual saves roughly 17%, the equivalent of two months free. Members can change plans at renewal.
Why pay for a community when the feed is free?
The feed is free because attention is the product being sold. The feed decides which operators you hear from, AI-generated content floods the rest, and every third post carries a vendor's interest. The room inverts the model. Members fund it, no sponsor shapes it, no algorithm ranks it, and every person inside was curated for the seat they operate from. You pay for the absence of noise, and the absence of noise is where the work gets done.
What happens after I subscribe?
You receive a welcome message inside Circle with channel-by-channel orientation, then full access to the open channels and member-only channels. Substantive Record drafts get posted in the room before they go public. Failure Files cohorts run continuously. The Town Hall replay archive opens to you.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Membership runs as long as your subscription is active. You can cancel before any renewal date and retain access through the end of the period already paid. New members also hold the founder's guarantee: thirty days inside, and if the room has not earned the seat, one line to Dr. Floyd refunds the first month.
How much time does the room take?
As much as the case demands and no more. Most members spend one to two hours a week: the live diagnostic once a month, the cohort thread when a new case lands, the open floor when a hard question needs a bench. The room rewards presence and respects the seat you operate from.
Is there a free way to see the room?
Yes, two ways. The Commons is the open floor of the community: introductions, the question you have been chewing on, what operators are seeing in the AI governance world this week. A Commons seat costs nothing. The free Failure Files instrument also lives at humansignal.io/failure-files — twelve documented cases, no charge. The cohorts that work new cases live, the GASP™ Live Diagnostic, the Briefing Room, and the Town Hall archive sit behind the membership wall, because the best of the work is not free and the operators who pay for a clean room protect it.
Is this a substitute for the TAIMScore™ Assessor Workshop?
No. The TAIMScore™ Assessor Workshop is a separate credential program created by Taiye Lambo and delivered by HISPI. Human Signal is the affiliate partner that handles enrollment. The workshop is the credential. The room is where the credential stays sharp: assessors bring live scoring problems to the Failure Files cohorts and the GASP™ Live Diagnostic. Many operators hold both. Enroll in the next workshop cohort here.
